Archiving the Past, Articulating the Future: The Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra Video History Project
To help commemorate the Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra’s 70th anniversary and the hiring of Fouad Fakhouri, the WFSO’s new Music Director, Texomans of all ages are invited to share their most memorable WFSO moments by recording one or more brief videos which will be compiled in a publicly accessible online historical archive on the WFSO’s new webpage.
Short videos will be accepted for consideration in the online archive starting on July 1, 2017. Individual videos may also be posted on the WFSO Facebook page throughout the 2017-2018 season.
Select videos, along with archival footage and still images highlighting the WFSO’s history, will be compiled in a professionally produced video commemorating the Symphony’s 70th anniversary which will premiere at season opener on October 14, 2017.
To take part in “Archiving the Past, Articulating the Future,” send a video file to Alicia Deges at marketing@wfso.org. If you are unable to record your own video, please email Mrs. Deges at marketing@wfso.org or call 940-723-6202 to arrange a time to meet with her during regular business hours. More information can be found at www.wfso.org.
